Commercial Bank of Ceylon and Toyota Lanka have renewed their strategic partnership to offer attractive leasing facilities for Toyota passenger and commercial vehicles, combining preferential financing rates with flexible repayment options and a range of additional benefits.
The renewed arrangement will enable customers to access leasing facilities for the full range of Toyota vehicles through Commercial Bank’s island-wide branch network, making the financing packages available to both existing and new customers.
Under the partnership, Commercial Bank will offer special leasing interest rates and repayment plans tailored to customers’ income patterns. Customers obtaining leasing facilities for Toyota vehicles will also qualify for waivers of credit card joining and annual fees for the first two years on cards issued by the Bank.
A key feature of the package is the flexible residual value repayment facility, which is designed to reduce monthly lease rentals by deferring a portion of the vehicle’s cost until the end of the lease period. The deferred amount can be as high as 50% for a one-year lease, reducing to 30% for a five-year tenure.
The arrangement also includes special benefits for customers leasing brand-new Toyota vehicles, through a partnership involving Commercial Bank and its subsidiary, Commercial Insurance Brokers (Pvt) Ltd (CIBL).
Insurance premiums for policies arranged through CIBL can be converted into six- or 12-month interest-free Easy Payment Plans (EPPs), with handling fees waived.
Toyota Lanka will complement the financing package with free vehicle registration, the first three standard services at no charge and a manufacturer's warranty covering three years or 100,000 kilometres, whichever comes first.
The renewed partnership is aimed at reducing the financial burden associated with purchasing a new vehicle by combining flexible financing with savings on insurance, registration and maintenance costs.
Commercial Bank said the initiative reflects its strategy of expanding customer-focused financing solutions through partnerships with established automotive brands.
