The Chief Executive Officer of Reliance Consumer Products Limited, Krishnakumar (Kk), will deliver the keynote address at the opening of the Sri Lanka Economic & Investment Summit 2026 (SLEIS), bringing extensive experience in consumer markets and emerging economies to discussions on Sri Lanka's growth and investment prospects.

Organised by The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce, SLEIS 2026 will be held on October 12 and 13 at Shangri-La Colombo under the theme “Positioning Sri Lanka in a Changing Global Economy: Resilience, Reform, and the Future of Economic Policy.”

Kk's participation comes at a time when Sri Lanka is seeking to attract greater private investment, strengthen domestic economic activity and expand its integration with rapidly growing Asian markets.

With 41 years of experience in consumer brands and fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Kk has worked across India and other developing and emerging markets. He previously served as President of Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, where he was involved in shaping business strategy and driving regional revenue growth.

At Reliance Consumer Products, he currently oversees the company's expansion across multiple consumer categories, with a focus on developing new customers, partnerships, strategic alliances and market opportunities.

His experience is expected to bring a private-sector perspective to the Summit's discussions on how businesses evaluate emerging markets, respond to changing consumer behaviour and identify opportunities for long-term growth.

For Sri Lanka, the consumer sector represents an important component of the broader investment and growth equation, particularly as the economy seeks to move beyond stabilisation towards sustained expansion. The ability to attract investment into consumer industries can also contribute to stronger domestic supply chains, employment and market development.

Kk holds an MBA in Marketing from the Indian Institute of Management Bangalore and a BE (Hons) from the College of Engineering Guindy. He has also completed an Advanced Management Programme at Wharton Business School.

His keynote will form part of a broader programme examining Sri Lanka's economic reform process, investment opportunities and the role of the private sector in generating sustainable growth.

The Summit will bring together policymakers, investors, business leaders and other stakeholders to discuss Sri Lanka's position within a changing global economy and its potential to strengthen links with regional trade, investment and economic networks.
