Commercial Bank of Ceylon has been ranked Sri Lanka's most loved banking brand for the third consecutive year in LMD Magazine's Most Loved Brands 2026 survey, reaffirming its strong customer appeal and leadership in the country's private banking sector.
The bank secured the No. 1 position in the Banking category under the Service Brands segment and was also ranked second among all service brands in Sri Lanka in the survey conducted by PepperCube Consultants among LMD readers. The study assessed brand affinity across 45 sectors covering corporate, product, service and new brand categories

Commenting on the recognition, Commercial Bank Managing Director and CEO Sanath Manatunge said the award reflected the strong emotional connection the bank has built with customers through trust, reliability and consistent service.
"To be consistently recognised as a 'most loved' brand is both humbling and deeply significant because it reflects an emotional connection built over time through trust, reliability and meaningful engagement with our customers," he said, adding that the bank continues to focus on authenticity, service excellence and innovation while adapting to changing customer expectations.
According to LMD, brands that succeed in today's challenging business environment are distinguished by authenticity, a clear sense of purpose and the ability to respond consistently to changing market conditions. The survey highlighted brands that have remained relevant despite economic pressures, geopolitical uncertainty and evolving consumer preferences.
Commercial Bank attributed its continued success to its customer-centric strategy, supported by sustained investments in digital innovation, service excellence and customer engagement. The bank said it continuously monitors customer feedback and implements improvements across its operations to enhance the customer experience.
The latest recognition follows Commercial Bank being named the People's Private Banking Services Brand of the Year for the fourth consecutive year at the SLIM Kantar People's Awards 2026, further reinforcing its position as Sri Lanka's most popular private sector bank.
Commercial Bank, the country's largest private sector lender and the biggest financier of the SME sector, operates a network of more than 270 branches across Sri Lanka. It also has the widest international presence among Sri Lankan banks, with operations in Bangladesh, the Maldives and Myanmar, as well as a representative office at the Dubai International Financial Centre.
