Kia Motors (Lanka) Limited has strengthened its presence in Sri Lanka’s corporate mobility segment with the delivery of a fleet of 16 Kia Sonet smart urban SUVs to the CBL Group, one of the country’s largest and most diversified food manufacturing conglomerates.
The handover ceremony took place at the Kia Logistics Centre in Malabe, with representatives of Kia Motors (Lanka), CBL Group and Central Finance in attendance. The vehicles, financed and managed by Central Finance, will be deployed by CBL Group under an operating lease arrangement. The occasion also saw the formal handover of the vehicles to the respective individuals for whom they were procured.
As Kia Motors (Lanka) celebrates 30 years of operation in 2026, this order marks a significant endorsement of the Kia brand by a leading Sri Lankan corporate, and underscores Kia Motors (Lanka)’s growing reputation as a reliable supplier of high-quality vehicles to the corporate sector. It also reflects the company’s commitment to delivering superior products backed by service excellence and long-term customer support.
“The collaboration between Kia Motors (Lanka), Central Finance and CBL Group highlights the increasing alignment between leading corporates and trusted automotive partners, and signals growing confidence in Kia’s ability to deliver mobility solutions that combine performance, technology and reliability with exceptional service support,” Kia Motors (Lanka) Managing Director Mr Andrew Perera said.

The SUV’s bold design language, highlighted by Kia’s signature ‘tiger-nose’ grille and distinctive ‘heart beat’ LED lighting, ensures a commanding road presence.
The Sonet offers a premium and driver-centric cabin, featuring a large 10.25-inch HD touchscreen infotainment system with navigation and live traffic, BOSE premium audio, ventilated front seats, and advanced connectivity options including remote engine start and over-the-air map updates. A comprehensive suite of safety features, including six airbags, electronic stability control and multiple driver assistance systems, further enhances its appeal as a dependable and well-rounded vehicle.
