The Ceylon Chamber of Commerce has announced significant updates to the 22nd edition of the Best Corporate Citizen Sustainability (BCCS) Awards, set for 2025. This year’s awards will place greater emphasis on integrity, impact, and innovation, with a revised application process and stricter adherence to guidelines.
Key changes include updated questions across categories to improve response quality, a pre-screening process to ensure baseline compliance, and a new disclosure requirement on how applications were prepared—whether internally, via third parties, or using AI. While this disclosure won’t affect scoring, it promotes transparency and deeper organisational engagement.
Open to both large corporates and SMEs, the BCCS Awards evaluate companies on environmental, social, financial, and national contributions. The parallel Best Sustainability Projects Awards 2025 will once again recognise initiatives with measurable real-world impact.
A briefing seminar for applicants will be held on 24th July 2024 at 2.00 p.m. at the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce.
